Then and Now, but always stepping forward

Not to long ago I was bad overweight. I thought I was eating right. Loads of fruit, big salads, yogurt and granola. Avoided buffets ate the leaner cuts of meat when I went out. But I learned that nutrition is so much more than what is in magazines or on television. So much more than the latest diet or fitness program. It is individualized. It can be tighten up for how your body and your hormones and your lifestyle interacts. So now, I always step forward. I don't beat myself self up for eating an entire pint of ice cream.

I keep a positive mindset and allow myself to live life and live to avoid a high risk of disease linked to obesity. Not living in the "I can't have it" thought and the "you don't deserve it" frame of mind has made me free to think, "I can have it, if I want it, if I will savoir and enjoy it". Less stress over what I know now is controllable because of me and not because of what society states.
